Reinventing Yourself

I’m not sure about how you perceive the journey that has been your life. Whether you see it as an endlessly flowing stream, slowly winding its way from your beginning to the present. Or, you see it as I do — a series of segments interrupted countless times by obstacles both large and small.

I’ve thought a lot about this sincel I was diagnosed in February 2014. And, then again, more recently when I was interviewed by an industry colleague and friend, Carm Capriotto, for his Remarkable Results Podcast. If you’re looking for any kind of insight as to how I became me you’ll find a good chunk of it there!

My guess is that you’ve experienced a few rapids in the course of your lifetime as well: obstacles forcing you to reinvent yourself, probably more than once. I know I have… I’m in the middle of one right now as I continue to recover from my BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant).

Whatever they are, they force the individual emerging from each challenge, each confrontation, each obstacle, to reinvent themselves or remain stagnant.
