I’ve been wandering around for most of the day distracted by three different, yet equally important concepts competing for space in my head. I don’t recommend it!
All three have to do with the sharing of ideas I am passionate about communicating well.
The first is the content of this blog, which we will be talking about last. The second has to do with a column that is due at the end of this month and the third is focused on a short talk I’ve been asked to deliver in just under two weeks on my experience with cancer.
Trying to juggle three concepts simultaneously, ensuring that all three get the time and attention each deserves is maddening and should come with a disclaimer that reads:
Please Do Not Attempt This at Home!
It is the shortest distance between two migraines!
The column is centered around two things we’ve talked about before. One is Management by Wandering Around and the other is flexibility. Only, this time, I’ve decided to look at how MBWA and flexibility work together to expand peripheral vision. As well as how expanded peripheral vision coupled with greater awareness can lead to better decision making. There’s a lot there and we’ll probably be talking more about that another time.
Something else we’ll talk about more is the experience almost all cancer patients share, beginning with diagnosis, on through treatment, and hopefully through remission and a cure.
I won’t presume to speak for everyone who has found a seat on the cancer bus. The only experience I can speak about with any clarity is my own and what I can tell you about that is finding out I had cancer changed my life and the lives of everyone I love: everyone around me.
It also filled me with a level of clarity I have never experienced before.
What about content for the blog? Well, I’ll bet you’ve already figured that out by now. :-{)}
